Meet our Team
Jeff Whitmire - Vice President of Operations
Mr. Whitmire primarily devotes his attention to advertising and partner relations. Since joining the company in 2004, Mr. Whitmire has been instrumental in building the company, having served as CFO and President prior to his current role. Mr. Whitmire was previously the CFO and President of Click Success, LP. and has held leadership roles at Activant Solutions, Capstar Broadcasting and Ernst & Young LLP. Mr. Whitmire earned a BBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, and is a CPA in the state of Texas.
Kenny Ahrens - Affiliate Services Manager
Kenny Ahrens joined Bankrate Credit Cards as Affiliate Services Manager in the spring of 2011. Before joining Bankrate, Kenny held supervisory and management roles at Fidelity Investments, Charles Schwab, and a boutique Quant fund. Kenny’s expertise includes relationship building, marketing, and business development across multiple financial products and markets. Kenny graduated from Austin College where he concentrated on Finance and Marketing, and was a FINRA Registered Principal and Sales Supervisor.
Stephen Harrell - Senior Affiliate Services Representative
Stephen Harrell began his career owning his own firm managing employees, negotiating with clients and customers, and running day-to-day business operations. Stephen developed his skills at an ad specialty company, then was recruited by Bankrate due to his many successes. Stephen has provided results for Bankrate Credit Cards clients over the past 10 years through his knowledge of PPC, SEO, site optimization, and monetization. In his free time he is an avid hiker, rock and gem collector, husband and father.
Tim Lindsay - Senior Affiliate Services Representative
Tim Lindsay joined Bankrate in 2002, and works at recruiting new affiliates and helping them grow their business. Along with actively recruiting affiliates into Bankrate credit cards, Mr. Lindsay leverages his 10 years of experience to help affiliates with pay-per-click management, search engine optimization, and website design. Mr. Lindsay holds an ABA from Mott Community College and a BBA in Marketing from Strayer University. In his free time Mr. Lindsay loves traveling, woodworking, attending his local church, and spending time with his wife of six years, Blaire.
Chris Gales - Affiliate Services Representative
Chris Gales provides a variety of client services to members of Bankrate’s credit card affiliate marketing program. Mr. Gales specializes in assisting affiliates with developing and maintaining effective marketing strategies tailored to each affiliate’s growth goals. With over nine years’ experience in this field, Mr. Gales has valuable insight and is committed to building strong, lasting relationships with his clients. In his free time, Mr. Gales enjoys watching the Detroit Lions, cooking, going to movies and spending time with family.
Camille Thomas - Compliance Associate
Camille Thomas began her career with Bankrate in May 2008. She is responsible for ensuring that our clients adhere to all governmental laws, rules and regulations, as well as developing appropriate action plans to accommodate our Bankrate clients. Camille studied at the University of Memphis and has a wealth of background knowledge regarding credit cards and other banking products. She also volunteers for local community groups, is an avid tennis player, and a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan.
Jan MacKay - Compliance Associate
Prior to joining Bankrate in March of 2011, Jan focused on licensing compliance within the private security industry. Presently, Jan works to ensure affiliate compliance with credit card issuers’ marketing directives. Jan gives back to her community as a regular platelet donor at the local blood center, having surpassed the 30 gallon mark in 2010. As a true Texan, born in Houston and raised on the Gulf Coast, Jan now delights in the Hill Country life in Central Texas. She and her husband enjoy working as a team to announce high school football in the fall, and her favorite things to do in her spare time include cooking, gardening and creating jewelry.
